Dark Roasted Iron Buddha Oolong Tea - character and origin from Fujian

Dark Roasted Iron Buddha Premium Quality Oolong Tea is a distinctive oolong tea from Fujian, China. This rolled Chinese oolong, also known as Tie Guan Yin, develops a deeper and warmer flavour through more intensive roasting than the lighter versions of this well-known tea style.

The flavour profile is roasted and nutty, with a full, warm and aromatic taste. The dark roasting brings out deep roasted nuances, complemented by a gentle natural sweetness and subtle floral notes in the finish.

Tie Guan Yin is closely linked to the oolong tradition of Anxi in Fujian. The tea is partially oxidised and then roasted, with this Dark Roasted version developing a pronounced, layered character and a long, smooth finish.

ORIGIN

Fujian, China

Fujian is one of China’s most important tea regions and has a centuries-old tea tradition. Its mountainous landscape and humid, subtropical climate provide excellent conditions for tea. The region is particularly famous for its refined oolong teas, including Wuyi Rock Tea and Tie Guan Yin, as well as for white and black teas.

Ik zou beter geen reclame maken voor deze thee - zo raakt de voorraad niet uitgeput. Want dit is de laatste tijd zowat mijn lievelingsthee geworden. Met die inderdaad onverwachte stevige smaak is dit een top thee!
