Pure tea: tea in its most authentic form
Pure tea is made from the leaves of the tea plant Camellia sinensis, without added flavourings or other ingredients. The origin, cultivar and way in which the tea leaves are processed determine the character of each tea. From fresh and vegetal to floral, soft, roasted or bold: the world of pure tea is remarkably diverse.
At Mingtea, you will find a carefully selected range of green tea, white tea, oolong tea, black tea and Pu-Erh tea from various tea regions. Each type of tea has its own processing method, flavour and ideal brewing method.
Which pure tea suits you?
Green tea Green tea is not oxidised, or only very lightly oxidised, and is known for its fresh, vegetal and sometimes umami-like character.
White tea is minimally processed and generally offers a soft, refined and subtly sweet flavour.
Oolong tea falls between green and black tea in terms of oxidation and can range from light and floral to fuller-bodied and roasted.
Black tea is more heavily oxidised and often has a fuller character, with flavours ranging from malty and fruity to cacao-like and spicy.
Pu-Erh tea undergoes a distinctive processing and ageing process and is known for its deep, earthy and complex character.
