As the days grow shorter and cooler, many people naturally start craving different flavours. Fresh summer infusions make way for tea with a little more depth, spiciness, or a soft and rounded character.
From earthy Pu-Erh and creamy oolong to classic Earl Grey, these are five teas we at Mingtea love to drink during autumn.
1. Pu-Erh - deep and earthy
Pu-Erh is a special Chinese tea from Yunnan. Shou Pu-Erh in particular is known for its deep, earthy and sometimes woody flavour profile.
That distinctive character is an excellent match for colder days and makes Pu-Erh a true autumn tea for us. In addition, many Pu-Erh teas can be steeped several times, with the flavour profile continuing to develop from one infusion to the next.

2. Oolong - from floral to rich and creamy
Oolong is an exceptionally versatile category. Depending on its origin, cultivar, oxidation and processing, an oolong can be light and floral, but also fuller-bodied, roasted or creamy.
In autumn, we enjoy choosing a softer, rounder oolong. Milky Oolong is a lovely example, with its soft and creamy character.

3. Linden & mint - a gentle herbal infusion
Not every autumn moment calls for true tea. Sometimes, we simply feel like having an uncomplicated herbal infusion.
Our organic Linden & Mint combines the gentle character of linden blossom with the fresh flavour of mint. As this infusion is not made from the tea plant Camellia sinensis, it is naturally caffeine-free.

4. Earl Grey - black tea with bergamot
Earl Grey is a classic that is particularly well suited to autumn. Its black tea base gets its distinctive character from the fresh, aromatic profile of bergamot.
The result combines the fuller flavour of black tea with a pronounced citrus aroma. Delicious on its own, but if you enjoy milk in your tea, you can also try Earl Grey with a splash of milk.

5. Jasmine tea - floral and refined
Autumn tea does not always have to be dark, powerful or spicy. An aromatic jasmine tea makes a lovely lighter alternative.
Our China Jasmine Dragon Pearl consists of carefully rolled tea pearls with a pronounced jasmine aroma. During steeping, the pearls slowly unfurl, creating a soft, floral infusion.

Which tea will you choose this autumn?
Of course, there is no single perfect autumn tea. Those who enjoy deep, earthy flavours can start with Pu-Erh, while lovers of gentler teas may prefer oolong. Earl Grey makes a classic and aromatic cup, Linden & Mint is a caffeine-free herbal infusion, and Jasmine Dragon Pearl provides a lighter, floral change of pace.
The best part is trying different teas and discovering which flavours suit you during the colder days.
